Mat Atkinson is the founder and CEO of ProofHQ, a powerful SaaS application that helps marketing managers and designers manage the process of getting feedback and approval on creative projects. Mat was inspired to start ProofHQ when he saw how much time people were spending emailing PDFs back and forth. Today Atkinson helps teams with productivity and leads a virtual team of his own. How does he get it all done?
Through ProofHQ, Mat Atkinson helps companies with productivity. As the leader of team of 71 that’s doubled in size each year, he also works to keep his team going too. The kicker? Mat’s team is distributed, with employees throughout the United Kingdom, the United States, Poland, and South Africa. That’s about 9-10 time zones if you’re counting. How do they stay on the same page? Skype is their water cooler. They keep chat open throughout the day to foster continuous conversations and collaborations. They encourage team members to utilize video to foster a sense of closeness. That said, they acknowledge that sometimes you just can’t beat the real thing. That’s why they get together in person once or twice a year. All 71 of them. What Are the 3 Apps Mat Can’t Live Without? Google apps (docs, sheets), Asana for project management, and ProofHQ, of course. Shout-outs and Shameless Plugs!
