Mark has worked in global sales, PR, and marketing positions for nearly 30 years and now provides consulting services as Executive Director of U.S.-based Schaefer Marketing Solutions. As you can imagine, we couldn’t wait to hear how he gets it all done.

As a professional speaker, blogger, and business consultant, Mark W. Schaefer toggles between client work, teaching at Rutgers University, and organizing the Social Slam conference. This triple threat gets things done through focus and discipline.

"Clients, content, and college. If it's not one of those things — I don't do it," Schaefer shared. The other big reason he can get a lot done? His kids are grown up! We can both identify with that. This discipline also extends to his extracurriculars. For example, like past guest Chris Brogan, he doesn't watch much TV. He loves what he does which helps a lot too. That's why he enjoys starting his Sunday morning with blogging. By and large, he focuses his work on what's coming down the road now — a book, a speaking event. He calls this "work with a pulse."
