Episode Number 49Jason HeadsetsDotCom on Opportunities

How enterprising is Jason HeadsetsDotCom? Enterprising enough that he not only sells which shirt he wears each day — maybe you’ve heard of IWearYourShirt.com — but he’s also sold the naming rights to … his own last name! That’s the quick story of how Jason Sadler became Jason HeadsetsDotCom, however, we were fortunate enough to get an all-access pass with this entrepreneurial force when he stopped by our virtual studios.

Show Notes

As the founder of the world's first human advertising network, IWearYourShirt.com, Jason knows a thing or two about spotting opportunity. Not everyone could turn their last name into a sponsorship but Jason HeadsetsDotCom managed to do just that. And for those curious on the logistics, yes, Jason did indeed update his driver's license and other documents with his new sponsored name.

With the popularity of the wearable ad network Jason founded, it's no surprise that his most recent move involved creating bold T-Shirts for Entrepreneurs espousing start-up culture ideas including Opportunity Looks Like Hard Work and Focus More, Do Less. So how does Jason approach his day? He's up at 8 or 9 each day, however, he avoids checking email first and instead spends his earliest waking moments on Instagram, choosing to focus on friends' artful and innovative slices of life as opposed to who needs what from him when.

With this focus it's no surprise that Jason is a big proponent of to-do lists. Another secret? If he's not feeling creative he doesn't force it. "I may not work on Wednesday but I may work all day and night on Saturday."

For shout-outs and shameless plugs Nick mentioned the Work Talk Show's listener survey (take it now!) while DJ noted that when this show airs he'll likely be on vacation (lucky!). Jason thank us for having him on the show and pointed us to JasonSadler.com for his latest and greatest updates.

Until next week, we'll see you on the Internet!
